Transport Into The Festival
This concept focuses on transporting into the festival, stepping into the venue, and discover the portal that is Governors Ball. The deep saturated colors use cool and warm tones to emphasize all styles of music as well as being able to perform rain or shine. The vector shapes create a variety of visuals that transcend sound waves shapes, and graffiti doodles that give that New York City characteristic. Other design elements were to use texture in many of the assets to create some more depth of the vector art.
WHAT IS GOVBALL?
The Governors Ball is one of the newest and largest festivals hosted each year in June in NYC. They bring a huge variety of artists big and small to a wonderful experience. Each year the festival picks a new design for their concept this would have been the concept for June of 2022. Festivals are officially coming back since the global pandemic, and being able to romantize them is only getting more popular. In a place like New York City it is difficult to create an atmosphere that feels secure and indepedent from the rest of the hustle, but Gov Ball has been able to achieve this.
